An exciting opportunity has arisen at Certifications at Taguig and Davao, Philippines for FOOD SAFETY AUDITOR.

As a Food Safety Auditor you will be responsible for evaluating the safety and quality of food products and processes by performing audits. This includes the performing of data analysis, data reporting, and ensuring consistent implementation of product quality and food safety compliance standards at several different organizations. The position would offer to dig deep into the world of Food Safety and sustainability.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Initiating and conducting on-site audit activities for our clients according to audit planning.
  • Conducting audits on time as per the planning and carrying out reporting audit results professionally according to Control Union’s guidelines.
  • Assist in the handling of claims & appeals and maintaining a good relationship with clients.
  • Maintaining contacts with the certifier/s on a regular basis.
  • Keeping abreast awareness of developments, issues, and legislative changes related to the subject areas in which audits are carried out.
  • Perform marketing and business development activities and other tasks requested by Managing Director or the Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • Lead auditor qualification and experience in auditing in FSSC 22000 and/or BRCGS
  • Cumulatively, minimum five (5) years of work experience in the food industry related to Production/Quality Assurance / Research and Development
  • Advantage: experience in coconut, banana/other fruit, and fisheries industries
  • Science degree with subject matters related to Food Technology/Food chemistry/Microbiology
  • Willingness to travel extensively (both abroad as well as domestic)
  • Report-writing skills
  • Presentation and interviewing skills
  • Good command of the English language
  • Ability to make independent decisions through a systematic and analytical approach
  • Service-orientated mentality
