The Business Developer in coordination with the US Vice president for Certifications and the US Country Manager of Control Union will be responsible for the growth and maintenance of the client profile for Sustainable textiles and Sustainable materials; setting up the business strategy of the business unit in North America, helping identify potential clients and, ensuring personal follow up and supervision of the service provided to the clients in compliance with Control Union quality guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the sustainability market, develop and implement commercial plans to achieve revenue and market share targets, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influences.
  • Participate in trade fairs, networking events and online events to pursue the business development plan.
  • Oversee the execution of the services sold (audits, transaction certificates, logos, etc.,) of the North America clients as a key person while building a working relationship with internal teams within Control Union.
  • Work with key stakeholders within the Peterson Control Union teams around the region to maintain alignment and find synergies

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of prior experience on Certification Programs
  • Textile background degree or related studies.
  • Desirable technical knowledge of the subject matter (Organic textiles, recycling, fibers)
  • Advanced English is required and other languages are a plus.
  • Microsoft Office package.
  • Will be based in USA and give service for North America.
